PULP FICTION FOOD BY LAURA GROGRAN

The very talented and creative Laura Grogan has made some tasty looking Art Club photographs this month, inspired by Tarantino's Pulp Fiction.

Frome Laura, "Blueberry Pancakes, The Royale with Cheese, The $5 Shake, That Hawaiian Burger Joint, Not digging on swine are some of my favourite moments from Pulp Fiction. Quentin Tarantino's use of food as social commentary are a film technical all is own. Special thanks to Macdonalds & Huxtaburger for providing the burgers, all else concocted from my kitchen."

about 'Around the Kitchen Table'

EVERY MONTH A NEW PROJECT...

One night around a kitchen table (and after a few red wines), a few friends were talking about how they were always more creative when they had a project and a deadline to work towards. Life is so busy, and we don't always make the time to be creative - and being creative is so important!

The friends felt the same way and looking around the table on this evening, I was amazed at how many creative people were there that night: singer/songwriters, photographers, graphic artists and a trained sculptor. After lots of excited discussion the group at the table all said they felt the same and we decided to set a monthly creative project. Around the Kitchen Table (also known as 'Art Club')was born there and then!

It's very simple...every month there is a new project/theme and everyone creates something relating to the theme by interperating it in their own unique way. A new theme is posted each month then at the end of the month we share what we have created.

You don't need to stick to you normal field of creativity, for example if you are normally a painter you might want to make a short animation, or if you are normally a photographer you might enjoy writing a poem, and so on.

It's really simple, free and hopefully fun for everyone involved! No one will tell you off if you miss a month...I promise.

The project is open to anyone that is interested - so please spread the word - the more the merrier!
